NOTE: If a users name does not appear when searching for their unid when attempting to ‘add a user’ this means the user has not completed the below process. All users must login to REDCap & verify their account before they can be added to a project. |
Go to: https://redcap.ccts.utah.edu
Sign in with your U of U ID or U of U Affiliate ID (unid) and your campus password.
Fill out and submit the form that comes up, use your primary email address associated with the U of U.
Affiliate ID users use your email address associated with your Affiliate ID.
You will then be sent an email to confirm your REDCap account.
The new user can now either create their own project or be added as a user to an existing project.

To be added to an existing REDCap project, you’ll need to contact the project manager to give you access to it. They will need to follow the direction on: Add New User

Important information about Affiliate IDs

All new users must have a University of Utah ID to access REDCap. University of Utah REDCap Affiliate ID's are requested from Human Resources following the below process.
University employees must start this process.
To begin, populate the Affiliate Request Form to initiate the request
Once you complete the form above, an Information Form is auto-sent to the Affiliate based on the Affiliate email provided
After the Affiliate completes and submits their form, information is passed to HR to review
NOTE: If the affiliate does not complete their form, no HR request can be initiated
Once approved, the University of Utah PI & Affiliate will be notified of Affiliate’s ID and steps to get started
