Collection Protocols

Collection Protocol refers to the laboratory-specific study or project to which participants are registered. Your homepage may have 1 or more collection protocols listed depending upon the number of studies you have access to.

1. From the left navigation panel or home page, select a collection protocol from your list of protocols

   

2. Once the protocol is selected, you are directed to the participant overview page

   1. Participant Overview Page allows you to:

      1. View participants registered to this protocol

      2. Add participants

      3. Participant filtering: Make selections or enter details to filter the participant list by common fields such as ID, name, registration date, or age

      4. Edit any available field: Choosing 'Edit' will display a list of fields available to edit, however this menu only supports the ability to edit fields for which the value will be the same for all participants.

Viewing Specimens:

Actions such as filtering, bulk or single editing may take place within the ‘view specimens’ menu, similar to the participant overview page.

From the Participant Overview page, you may select to “View Specimens”
When presented the list of specimens, to the right you may filter specimens by type, lineage, date, or other common criteria.
After applying filters, you can select all or a subset of the samples of interest using the boxes on the left side
Once selected, use the drop down arrow adjacent to “Actions” menu to record processing information. Or, use “Add to Cart” to easily find this group of samples later or share them with other users.
To navigate back to the list of participants in the protocol, you can click on the CP name in the “breadcrumbs” navigation at the top left or click “View Participants”.
