Collection Protocol

A Collection Protocol (CP) refers to the laboratory-specific study or project to which participants are registered. Your homepage may have 1 or more collection protocols listed depending upon the number of studies you have access to.

Participant List view Page allows you to:

View a list of all participants registered to this protocol.
- The columns can be customized for each study
Add participants
Filter the list of Participants
- On the right side

- list to view only those participants in the study having the criteria you select such as ID, name, registration date, or age.

From here, you may also add participants. The drop down menu found under “More” displays advanced features that will be covered in a different section.

You may also select an individual partcipant by clicking the Participant Protocol ID to navigate to the participant overview page from which you can edit any available field.

Selecting multiple participants to edit is possible by checking the box on the left next to all participants.
Choosing 'Edit' will display a list of fields available to edit, however this menu only supports the ability to edit fields for which the value will be the same for all participants.

Viewing Specimens:

Once a CP has been selected you can view samples associated with that CP. Actions such as filtering, bulk or single editing may take place within the ‘view specimens’ menu, similar to the participant overview page.

From the Participant Overview page, you may select to “View Specimens”	Image Modified
When presented the list of specimens, to the right you may filter specimens by type, lineage, date, or other common criteria.	Image Modified
After applying filters, you can select all or a subset of the samples of interest using the boxes on the left side

Once selected, use the drop down arrow adjacent to “Actions” menu to record processing information. Or, use “Add to Cart” to easily find this group of samples later or share them with other users.

To navigate back to the list of participants in the protocol, you can click on the CP name in the “breadcrumbs” navigation at the top left or click “View Participants”.	Image Modified
