Collection Protocol

A Collection Protocol (CP) refers to the laboratory-specific study or project to which participants are registered. Your homepage may have 1 or more collection protocols listed depending upon the number of studies you have access to.

You will then see a list of particpants that have been assigned to this protocol. On the right side, you may make selections or enter details to filter through participants to display participants of interest.

From here, you may also add participants, or drop down the “More” menu to select an action.

You may also select an individual Participant Protocol ID to view, edit, collect specimens, etc., or you may select multiple participants by checking the box on the left and editing or deleting records in bulk.

Participant List view Page allows you to:

  1. View a list of all participants registered to this protocol.

    • The columns can be customized for each study

  2. Add participants

  3. Filter the list of Participants

    • On the right side of the screen you can filter the list to view only those participants in the study having the criteria you select such as ID, name, registration date, or age.

Viewing Specimens:

Once a CP has been selected you can view samples associated with that CP. Actions such as filtering, bulk or single editing may take place within the ‘view specimens’ menu, similar to the participant overview page.

On the left side, you may check the boxes to select specimens and drop down the “Actions” menu to select an action, or select “Add to Cart”.

  • Once selected, use the drop down arrow adjacent to “Actions” menu to record processing information. Or, use “Add to Cart” to easily find this group of samples later or share them with other users.

  • To navigate back to the list of participants in the protocol, you can click on the CP name in the “breadcrumbs” navigation at the top left or click “View Participants”.
