REDCap Help Docs

1. Login to REDCap and select project you would like to move to Production

2. Mouse click on "Project Setup" (may already be there) then mouse click on "Modify project setting" (located the top of "Project Setup" page. Circled in Red below)

3. A box similar to the one displayed below will pop up, here is where you enter the Project title, select the purpose of the project, enter the IRB number (If it's a Research Project), etc. The two most important things to do here are

        A. Verify project has a meaningful project name

B.  Verify the purpose of the project is not "Just for fun" (Circled in red below).  If it is "Just for fun," all data entered will be lost.

4. Determine if the project requires an IRB number. If the IRB number is missing, we recommend that they obtain one and enter it into the "Modify Project Settings" section before moving to production. Projects that require IRB numbers involve collecting data about PHI or human subjects. According the 4 CFR. 46.102(f), Human subject means a living individual about whom an investigator (whether professional or student) conducting research obtains:

4a. Data through intervention or interaction with the individual

            4b. Identifiable private information.

5. Mouse click "Save" to save your settings
